Good stuff yall. This is awesome! The key to a successful life and marriage is PRAYER and studying God's word. Be patient in your prayer knowing that God does everything in his own timing. Just like in the movie "Uneasily Broken" God needs to be the third strand in the relationship and everything else, including the bedroom, is going to be A OK!!!
Here is a prayer for all of us...
The Armor Of God Prayer
(Pray this over you & spouse every morning)

Heavenly Father, I praise and worship You. I cover myself and _________ with the Blood of the Lord Jesus Christ as our protection. I pray that the blessed Holy Spirit would enable me during this time of prayer. I take a stand against all the workings of satan that would hind my prayers. I address myself only to the True and Living God. I reject any involvement of satan in my thoughts and words. satan, I command you, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, to leave mine and _________s presence with all your demons. I bring the Blood of the Lord Jesus Christ between you and me, I bring the Blood of the Lord Jesus Christ between you and _________. For greater is He that lives within us then you who lives in the world!

Qiana,

The Bedroom is undefiled in Marriage so in my opinion that pastor would be correct with the camera idea since it is actually them and not actors performing the act. So i would say to those two Go ahead and get yo groove on...

Forgot to add; What do you all think of that suggestion from a pastor?

Brian pretty much put a lid on this one! lol Any time you put the Word on it, what more can be said? I will add that a friend who was going through counseling on this very subject was told by the pastor that if they just wanted to watch something that bad they should put a camera in their bedroom. This way they would not be looking at people who were not their spouse and don't have to worry about seeing certain things they may not want to inc into their intimate life.

Good stuff there Tonica. The word definetly cuts like a knife and it is definetly something that cuts at me as well as others when you open it. You did say something key there and that is to make sure that your mate is lifted and covered. Marriage ain't easy and realize that we may have vices that go beyond porn that can also be destructive to a marriage (Materialism, being impatient, Individualism, etc) but we should keep in mind that in marriage we act and operate as one which means always meeting the needs of our spouse in a way that would please God. Good post yall.

Funny! I was thinking the same thing...like that's what I was going to say. The only other thing I would add is that when there is an issue, we cannot beat each other over the head with the Word. We have to be patient and understanding and know that the souls of our mate is most important.

The problem with abuse of porn is a soul issue and many other problems in the marriage could stem from that one problem alone. We have to be sure to keep each other lifted and covered.

There are also various ministries on the web that offer support and direction. We just have to be certain that we are attacking the root of the problem and not the person. We have to also know that there is nothing to hard for God and this too can be overcome with Him. Amen

Ha!!! After the word is put forth, what's left to say? Who will touch that? (LOL). This is Brian's interpretation of the word and that's cool, but don't let that stop the discussion or we can start a different topic. Brian after my husband offered something as deep there was no more discussion on the last topic either (LOL). Don't feel bad! Let's talk ya'll. You know you want tooooooo........

Jesus stated that "If a man looks at a woman lustfully he has comitted adultery in the heart" There is also a passage in the NT that states "If your right eye causes you to sin gouge it out, for it is better to have one eye then your whole body thrown in hell" In other words according to Scripture Masturbation and Pornography are a sin in Gods eye because it creates lust for someone other than your spouse. Pornography is also merely fantasy and can lead to much more destructive things in a marriage such as adultery or abuse. So no, it is best not to allow it at all in your marriage. Good topic
